AMY PROJECT: Face Value! Go see it this weekend Toronto!
A few months ago at the TORONTO LIFE Photoshoot, I met a power house of a human being named Weyni Mengesha. Together with Claire Calnan, Weyni runs a program called THE AMY PROJECT, an Artists Mentoring Youth educational arts project. I was able to attend a session and was blown away by the confidence, perspective and talent of the young ladies that frequent the program.
This year, the collective has created a theatre production called FACE VALUE and I encourage everyone in Toronto to head out this weekend and check out the performance. I wish I could attend, but I’m out here on the Leftcoast missing the diversity of Toronto and wanting one more plate of Mainsha Stew Chicken.
