Masia One & Isis (Thunderheist)

Just sending out a bon voyage and I’ll miss you to my l’il sis Isis!  We spent the last week working, writing, laughing and making music at the Kops & Robbers studio here in L.A. and it has been a blast (whiskey induced at times).  We cranked out some hits and it’s going to be a gangster boogie as always.  Since her colossal success with THUNDERHEIST, I know Toronto hiphop heads have missed Isis and her Ghostface meets Lauryn Hill spits.  I managed to get some NASTY 16s from Miss I, with lyrics that will make you blush then double take on some “Oh no she DI-INT” flex.  This time spent in studio with Isis has been a mile stone on both our progress as musicians…drunken ditties we made up staggering down Spadina Avenue from too many PBRs years ago have now been laid down in a beautiful LA studio by a skillful engineer (Big Up Rayna!) and over some the best instrumentals the industry has to offer.  What can I say?  Progress is a sexy thing.  These songs will be released this year with my debut of record label Kops & Robbers.

It has truly been a blessing to see this artist progress in her music onto some next level sound and I can’t wait for her solo debut purring into the mic like Angela Davis and growling like Wu Tang discovering the 37th chamber.  Do your thing girl…the world is your oyster, you’re the sex symbol for the new generation and never let anyone tell you otherwise!

I’m messing around with www.tumblr.com and loving it.  I’m going to develop this page to posting hustle tips and general advice.  We’ll see how that goes.

On that note, Isis is coming into town today.  I’m coaxing my liver in preparation and looking forward to writing some great music with the homegirl.
