Last night the fabulous Tanika Charles aka Mz Chawls had her EP release party as part of The Main Ingredient in Toronto. I was so disappointed not to be there to hear one of my favorite singers, and dearest friend show the world what she’s made of!  Regardless, the reviews from the show have been nothing short of wonderful. I want to send a big phat shout out to Mz Chawls & EMPRESS LOQENZ on the one’s and two’s!  Congrats on the release of What?What!What?! EP.  I got the sneak peaks, and all songs have made it to my heavy Nano rotation list.  You’ve come a long way since Lansdowne…so proud of your girrrrrrrl!  Keep shining.

So I’m out here in Asia and people are killing the Black Eyed Peas BOOM BOOM POW.  When I first heard this track I was on tour with Tanya Morgan across Canada.  I had thought to myself that it was a very catchy song, but “Boom Boom Pow” was not a very hype or interesting phrase to repeat.  I mean, I love ottomottopeas as much as the next person…but who says BOOM BOOM POW?

All my bashy people around the way here in Toronto say BRAP BRAP BOH!  I wanted to remix this song so that it was more true to how people I know get down!  As usual, SMOKE SHOP came through with the ill remix for the beat and the rest is history. DOWNLOAD the Bashment style BOOM BOOM POW BELOW…
